TO DECOMPOSITION
PUBLISHED POETRY INCLUDED IN MY FORTHCOMING COLLECTION: LETTERS TO NOWHERE
what crows lie here, licorice feathers
speckled by death and sand?
wings weighted by brimstone
and too many i don’t knows
and maybe laters. who followed me here?
this solstice sun and a man
with tobacco-stained lips ride the wave
of sweat and crimson firelight
with fierce, euphonic sweetness.
goat mountain vibrates a thousand secrets,
but all i feel is breathe. breathe. breathe.
